    I encountered a bug on Windows (latest free V-Play version) while playing around with sounds and background music.

    This is what I got:

    “opening audio failed …… at calling mciSendCommand() with error code: 304”

    Sound{
            id: mgSound
            source: "music/abcdef.wav"
        }
    MouseArea{
                anchors.fill: parent
                onPressed: {
                    mgSound.play()
                    }

    BackgroundMusic{
            id: bgMusic
            source: "music/abcdef.wav"
        }

    Both did not work.

    The funny thing was, after I changed the filename to something shorter than 6 characters, it did work!

    Is this a known bug?

    UPDATE:

    Nevermind, i checked again, the absolute file-path was too long.

    I copied it to a location with a shorter absolute filename and sounds with +6 characters are working again!

    Sorry!
