Using both my own files, and the Chicken Outbreak template, I am unable to test -hd2 images. For the Chicken Outbreak, I deleted the comments for the GameWindow width and height so it reads 320*2*1.5 and 480*2*1.5. I even went into the mainscreen hd2 image and scribbled lines in Paint just to make sure. I even tried setting the factor to something crazy high like times 10 and it would still only load the -hd images. Do I have to enable this manually?

    Hi,

can you search in your logs for the following statement “cocos2d: GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE:” please?

If it is 2048, your graphics card cannot show hd2 image. However, if you test it on a high-res device like an iPad3, the hd2 images will be used.

    Cheers, Chris

Thanks for the fast response! It appears to indeed be 2048. I have a GTX 480 though, which is a decent card. As long as I name everything with the correct conventions, I guess I can just trust that it will use the correct images.

If you have a high-res device, you can also test it there. Other than that, make sure you have an hd2 version for each image available. 😉

    Cheers, Chris
