hi,

i am using the onesignal plugin and one of the users of the app gets the notification icon on screen.

even when reinstalling the app on an android device.

i do not know why this is happeing.

i even have a screenshot of it.

so he gets the notification icon with numers in it, but the icon does not disapear from screen.

when re installing the app the notification is still there.

could it be that onesignal is a service on android that is still there, even after un installing the app ?

Hi Bas,

OneSignal does not meddle with the how Notifications work, and does not run as a service on Android. It allows to send notifications from the OneSignal server to registered devices, which can then handle it.

Notifications are consumed when you click it (which opens your app). Or you can clear them from the Notification list of the device.

To control your notifications and how the app consumes them, you can use OneSignal Plugin settings like:

Update OneSignal,

not working on Android because of old version of the lib.

And yes, the notifications are not working because of this.
