    Hi,

I have reinstalled v-play sdk 2-3x. At the beginning everything is ok, but after a while (1-2 weeks) QtCreator stops responding on project opening… I can create a new project, build it, add new files, etc. But if i close it and want to open  – QtCreator  freezes and i can not open any vplay project 🙁

    PS. I’m using windows 7

Maybe someone had similar problem… maybe there some setting which must change and everything is ok

    Best regards,

    Raimonds

    Hi Raimonds,

usually every Qt/Felgo project generates a .pro.user file within the project directory, which saves local build settings for your project. As an attempt, could you please try to remove the file and open the project again, and tell us if this worked out?

Do you furthermore remember which build targets (Desktop, Symbian, MeeGo) you have selected on project setup?

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

I’m not at that PC now… i can’t do test with pro.user file – i will do it at the evening

On project setup i have only default one available –  “Desktop”

Ehh – i reinstalled V-play sdk – qtcreator now runs ok. This is faster than find a solution for problem (10-15 min)

After 2 days I’m getting the same issue – i can not open any v-play based project – it just freeze and not responding… yesterday was all right 🙁 Does I’m the only one who gets this strange bug?

Maybe the reason is parallel QtSDK (For Nokia) installation… ? I don’t want to uninstall this… just for tests, because i’m not sure will i get it back.

    I will reinstall v-play SDK … again…. 🙁

Is there any way to get Offline installation?

    Regards,

    Raimonds

    Hi Raimonds,

I can remember I had the same issue sometimes when using the Qt SDK together with Felgo SDK. The reason was that the same project setup was used for both Qt SDKs and they sometimes overlapped each other. I solved it, by always having the Felgo SDK Qt Creator open which prepends to overwrite the project settings. In any case, deleting the .pro.user file solved the problem as Alex explained above, so you could also try that.

Is there any reason why you keep the Qt SDK in parallel? The Felgo SDK is a full copy of the Qt SDK and you have the same packages available for the online installer, so you can also develop pure Qt applications without using Felgo with the Felgo SDK!

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi, Chris

Only reason why i keep old QtSDK is for Qt 4.6.3. I know that i wanted setup another environment for this version – i could not do that so easy…. So for my primary work pc i don’t want to loose this Qt version configuration… I have not time to investigate my old environment installation process

    Hi Raimonds,

I understand, thanks for clarification! In that case i would like suggested above open a Qt Creator version from the Felgo SDK first before opening a normal Qt SDK Qt Creator. Or alternatively delete the .pro.user file and set up the environment when you changed the Qt SDKs before. Or you could also try Qt Creator 2.5 which is more stable and forgiving when it comes to opening Qt projects of different Qt SDKs.

Cheers and have a nice weekend,

    Chris
