    Hi Chris,

now i finally have a few days to work a little more with v-play. 😀

I would like to upgrade my beta-version to release and i did the following: i uninstalled the beta, dounloaded the new v-play-installer and started it.
At the first screen i click “next” and after a few seconds i get the following message:

Could not fetch Updates.xml from repository: https://sdk.felgo.com/windows. Error: Unbekannter Fehler

Running on my other System, it works but i would like to install it on my developer-pc. What did i wrong?

    Greatings and merry chrimas!

    Hi Heini,

great you have some time to spend with Felgo 🙂

    Regarding your installer issues:
Do you also have the following 2 dlls in the same location as FelgoInstaller.exe:

    • ssleay32.dll
    • libeay32.dll

Another issue might be a firewall that hinders the installer to fetch the packages – do you have any firewall enabled?

    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

thank you for the quick response! The dll-files are in the drawer and even disabling the firewall does not change anything. Is there another way to install V-play (maybe with an offline-installation-package)? Do you have any other suggestions, where the error could be?

Maybe it would be possible to re-install the betaversion (as there wasn´t any install-problem) and then upgrade it to release?

    Thank you!

    Hi Heini,

could you please run the installer from the command line, with the –verbose argument? So call the exe with this setting:

    FelgoInstaller.exe --verbose

Could you then send me the debug output of the installer?

One more thing that comes in my mind: Can you reach this web address, with your username and password from Felgoy:
    https://sdk.felgo.com/windows/Updates.xml

    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

now i located the error: Oracle VirtualBox was again the troublemaker!!!
After updating it to the latest version (installs also virtual network adapters) it finally works!
Maybe i should better put it out of the window then updating 😉

    Merry Chrismas again!!!
