tried creating new project under “empty V-play project” and running it but got 383 errors.. all starting with “declspec(dllimport)”

I even followed this installation guide perfectly here… http://felgo.com/doc/vplay-installation.html

btw I plan to try and run the chicken outbreak game here http://felgo.com/doc/demos-chickenoutbreak.html after I figure out why the empty template isn’t working and I’m wondering, do I have to follow some kind of format to get it to work or can I just open an empty v-play project and start adding files and copy/pasting them in and hitting run?

    Hi Periphery,

could you please post a screenshot of your build settings in the “Projects”-tab?

You’re right, just create an empty Felgo project, add the files and folders and copy/paste the code.

Some games though, ChickenOutbreak is one of them, is already shipped within the Installer, you can find it in the Demos\FelgoSDK folder of you Felgo installation.

We will add zip files containing the complete source code for all demos soon to the demo pages on our website.

    Cheers,
    Alexander

    Hi again,

please select the MSVC2010 compiler instead of the MSVC2008 in the Projects tab.

Regarding folders: Your base folder for creating new qml-files in your project is the “qml” folder.

demos/ChickenOutbreak/qml/entities/Coin.qml –> you can see from the path, the Coin.qml file should go into a new folder named “entities” inside the “qml” folder. You can learn more about the entitiy concept here http://felgo.com/doc/vplay-entity-concept.html

I know, this copy/paste is quite unhandy. We will take care of that and add full source code downloads to our demos soon.

Let me know if changing the compiler fixed your issues!

    Cheers,

    Alexander
