Hello,

I’ve installed everything from the installation guide for windows, but when i try to create a new project or open any example I get an error: “Could not find valid Qt-Version”. Apparently I’m missing a (the?) tool chain. It’s my first time working with this IDE and Google couldn’t really help me either.

Hi, does the error appear when you (1) create a new Felgo project or when you (2) try to run a project?

If case 1: Can you create a Qt-Quick project without having the error?
If case 2: Can you post a screenshot of your build settings in the projects tab of Qt-Creator and give me any log output?

I can neither create a new Felgo project nor a Qt-Quick project (standard properties). But i can create a Qt Quick UI Project

Seems like there is no device target is installed.This also happen to me until installed symbian target with sdk maintenance

@alex: I do. it’s almost the same besides i my path says …\4.8.1\msvc2010\qmake.exe and there is a waring telling me the toolchain for this version could not be created.

 

@babylon: Thanks. that was it! I thought i could write and test apps without specifying what OS i want to target, but now that i think about it, it doesn’t really make sense.
