:-1: error: Qt Creator needs a tool chain set up to build. Configure a tool chain in Project mode.

 

i keep getting that error when running a project. how can i overcome this

Hi,

did you follow all of the installation steps in the Installation Documentation?

Could you also try to create a “Qt Quick” application with “File/New Project” in Qt Creator and try to run it?

Also, which platform are you running on?
