I ran basiclayouts with Qt 4.8.1 for Desktop and MinGW Release mode and received some warnings on Windows 8 (i.e., Windows “6.2”) but it ran. However, when I tried to run ChickenOutbreak2 with Qt 4.8.1 for Desktop and MinGW Release mode the following error message occurred.

Starting C:\FelgoSDK\Demos\FelgoSDK\ChickenOutbreak2-build-desktop-Qt_4_8_1_for_Desktop_-_MinGW__Qt_SDK__Release\release\ChickenOutbreak2.exe...
Cannot retrieve debugging output.
Qt: Untested Windows version 6.2 detected!
The program has unexpectedly finished.
C:\FelgoSDK\Demos\FelgoSDK\ChickenOutbreak2-build-desktop-Qt_4_8_1_for_Desktop_-_MinGW__Qt_SDK__Release\release\ChickenOutbreak2.exe exited with code -1073741819

Any suggestions?

Hi Steve,

if you run the demo in debug mode, you will see the error is the wrong main qml file entered in main.cpp of the Chicken Outbreak 2 demo. Change it to “ChickenOutbreak2Main.qml” and the project will run, however, it is still work in progress and not released yet. The latest daily build contains a more recent version of this game, which will be published in the app stores soon.

Changing ChickenOutbreakMain.qml to ChickenOutbreak2Main.qml in main.cpp solved the problem.
