Hi,
I’m wondering if I could use the AdMob plugin to display rewarded videos. In Felgo documentation I see there are two types of adverts:

• Banners,
• Interstitials.

On the other hand AdMob provides additional one called Rewarded Interstitials.

However for simple Interstitial it’s also possible to display videos.

• How it looks from the Felgo’s side? Is it possible to display videos?
• How can I verify if the video was fully displayed? Are interstitialOpened, interstitialLeftApplication signals the good indicators?
• If it’s not possible, are you going to extend the AdMob plugin by the rewarded videos support?

you can use Chartboost for rewarded videos. Or have a look at the ONU card game how we implemented rewarded videos with AdMob. We also have rewarded video support of the AdMob plugin on the roadmap, but there is no expected release date yet.

I’m still facing the NO_AD_FOUND problem and looking for an alternative. The ONU solution should be enough. Thanks 🙂

the issue with Chartboost should be fixed with the latest update 2.9.1 released earlier today. Please let us know if you continue to having issues.

I am also looking into videos in AdMob.
Definitely Chartboost videos should have at least one other fallback, if not more.

As for NO_AD_FOUND Chartboost issue.
I always thought that Chartboost NO_AD_FOUND is a normal/common thing for Chartboost.
From what I have read, for non English, or even non US location, sometimes Chartboost doesn’t have too many adverts.

If the next plugin update could help with NO_AD_FOUND, that would be great.

I’ve checked the last update and finally got some videos! 🙂

However as Marcin said it’s nice to have an alternative especially when Chartboost has poor or no video coverage. So I”ll try the mix of both: Chartboost and AdMob.

About the NO_AD_FOUND issue:
As advertisers at Chartboost can limit where and when a video should be shown to target their desired audience, receiving ads is highly dependent on the current fill rate of ads in your country. Implementing fallbacks is then up to the developers, as everyone should be able to decide themselves how to handle this Chartboost issue.

As a fallback, there are a two things you can do with Chartboost:

• If you do not receive a Video, you can show a Static Interstitial instead, as there is usually a much higher fill rate of Static Interstitials.
• If you have multiple games, you can set up a cross-promotion campaign that allows you to show ads for your other games. It is possible to configure Chartboost to prioritize ads from other advertisers, and use the cross-promotion campaign to show your own ads if no other ad is available.

As mentioned before you can also use a mix of Chartboost and AdMob to ensure you always have ads.
