I’m creating functions and stepping through them for debug purposes. Is there a way to add a watch to a particular variable declaration inside of a function? Or is there an option in QT to mouse over a variable to get its value? Or both? 😀

    Hi Vince,

when you’re in the debug view in QtCreator at a breakpoint, you can add an expression to evaluate by right-clicking in the top-right view (the one with the columns “Name” “Value” and “Type” and selecting “Insert New Evaluated Expression”. You can then enter any JavaScript expression you would like to have evaluated.
Mouse-over is not handled by QtCreator in debug mode I think.

You can find out more about debugging QML in the QtCreator documentation here.

    Cheers,

    Chrisu
