V-Play made it possible to turn our idea of Cheekio the little chimp into reality. QML is a great language choice for getting great results quickly. And with the plugins for ads, in-app purchases and analytics, we were able to monetize our games and publish them to iOS & Android in one go. Amarjit Atwal, Double "A" Games
The QML scripting language used in V-Play is excellent for quick prototyping of gameplay. With very few lines of code, you can create sophisticated user interfaces featuring advanced functionality and animations. In our case, we finished the first prototype in just a day! Mathias Sundholm
I had a look at Unity, Unreal Engine and Ogre. I even wrote two game engines on my own. It’s a major effort to make and keep the engine compatible and running on several platforms. All of the mentioned solutions have got their pros and cons, but for a 2D game I decided, that V-Play would be the best solution. Jan Schaffmeister
Making a game with V-Play saves you so much time, because you can add Particle-effects, animations and a level editor very easily. Thanks to great support of V-Play(answering questions within hours, applying hotfixes within one day) it was a real pleasure to make a game and fill it with lots of content. Because of these reasons we could create a prototype within a few days and we were able to polish the game, so that we could release it after only one month. Christian Bartsch
Developing Synmod with V-Play was a blast – although we did not have any previous experience with V-Play and QML, it was very easy to get started. We were able to fully develop and publish the game within a month for iOS and Android. Also kudos to the V-Play support who managed to speed up loading time of the levels significantly and for their quick response to our requests. Gerold Meisinger, CEO Modern Alchemists OG
Development with V-Play was great, as you get results in no time which motivates to polish and publish your app. The key advantage is the cross-platform support: we did not need to make any source code adaptions and were able to publish to iOS and Android without any extra effort. Philipp Jahoda
I decided for V-Play because it`s based on the powerful Qt technology and because it is planned to be extensible with own C++ components. Heini Summerer
We've had some doubts in the beginning that developing a single app that would be deployed for all platforms in one rush will work the way it's meant to be. But what shall we say - Physics Engine, Colliders to work with, APIs to connect to Facebook and Flurry, declarative UI Design in QML...
V-Play gave us the chance to get into game development for the first time and the result is great! Peter Neunteufel
The Twitter app shows how to build layouts like in the official Twitter app for iOS and Android. It includes some dummy data which can easily be replaced by implementing Twitter's API. It includes all common navigation concepts and demonstrates how to use the NavigationStack component within a root Navigation item.
The Weather App showcases how to include powerful animations into your user interface. It also shows how to build gorgeous fullscreen layouts with just a few lines of code. The app makes use of several QtQuick animation components and introduces a custom timer-based animation for changing the text.
A quick overview of useful components for app development that are available with the V-Play SDK.
